reset to factory 7960

i bought 7960 phones. some of them have passwords for the network config..

how to reset to factory default the 7960..

not that iam not having any power adapters as required by some docus

You do not really need a power adapter.

Power off. Press and hold # while applying power, when prompted press 123456789*0#, when prompted press 2 to erase config.

Note: you MUST be connected to a valid network with firmware files on TFTP server when doing this.

how would this newly resetted phone talks to my tftp?

They get the tftp address via dhcp.

Hello Paolo,

I have problem with resetting the phone

One of the 7960 phones, which I am trying to reset, the phone doesnt ask for ""Reset key sequence detected", but directly reboots. I tried many times, but I feel it doesn't consider # key. Can you please suggest, some method to reset the phone.

Check the TFTP log and serve the needed files to the phone.
