Hello All,
Anyone having experience with this err-msg before:
%BGP-3-NOTIFICATION: received from neighbor x.x.x.x (open: unknown subcode) 3 bytes 000101
I tried to googling but can't find similar error message of: BGP (unknown subcode) 3 bytes 000101
If yes, could share what would this telling us?
Thanks :)

Hi,
What are the code/subcode related to this notification. It should be between the neighbor IP address and the "("
If it's 2/8, it means the peer doesn't support AFI/SAFI or BGP optional capability negotiation

recently we encountered errors like this on our bgp session after enableing neighbor password, the problem was caused by incorect ip mtu settings on ends. we fixed it by setting the correct mtu size on both ends and/or by enabling gloabally under router bgp the bgp transport path-mtu-discovery.
regards,
