Link Aggregation on ML-1000-2 Card

We are trying to bundle two STM-4 on ML-1000-2 Card residing inside Cisco ONS 15454 at both ends to achieve 1.2G. The ONS software version is 7. We tried using RPR (SPR), Link aggregation using POS channel. All sort of other configuration from Cisco web site did not work. We are able to bundled the interface using RPR but the traffic goes out on POS0 and return on POS1. When we use POS channel, the Port-channel bundled the two POS but only one POS interface carries traffic and not both at the same time.

Has anyone successfully tries out this scenario before, please help.

It sounds like you are trying to balance the traffic between two ML cards connected together

ML POS0----POS1 ML

ML POS1----POS0 ML

On the ML cards the traffic that comes in on a port-channel and is flooded to the RPR will all go out only one POS port (not load-balanced). The POS port selection is based on the mapping of member-0 of the port-channel, which can vary when ethernet ports change state.
