I have a question concerning setting up of Probes...I'm looking through the Load Balancing config guide and it refers to Probes being setup and the fact that by default, the probe uses the IP address of the server OR server farm that is configured.
Does this mean, for example, if I have 4 servers in my server farm, it will execute the Probe against all 4 of the servers listed as part of the server farm?
thanks

Nope, just set it for the farm.

Yes it will, it will verify that each server is up and can be a member of the farm. If anyone server fails it's probes, it can automatically be removed from the farm until the probes are successful.
Hope that helps.

thanks for the info...
so, if you configure the probe for the Farm, is it necessary to set a probe (same probe) for each individual server? I would think no...
