10G Load testing

We have a Nexus 5000 that has 8 VMWare attached servers @ 10G using the Emulex CNA. Does anyone have a good, free app for generating/testing traffic on Windows or Linux? we aren't getting very good results just using FTP...

I personally love spirents test boxes. But if your budget is closer to zero check out the following -

Network testing -

TTCP - Runs on Linux and Windows (best on linux)

IO testing

Bonnie++ - good standard tests

IOMeter - repeatable customizable tests
