I got an used 1760 with 32F/96D. It has an advancedipserv 12.4-5a ios.

The show voice port summary is

R1#sh voice port summary

IN OUT

PORT CH SIG-TYPE ADMIN OPER STATUS STATUS EC

========= == ============ ===== ==== ======== ======== ==

3/0 -- fxs-ls up dorm on-hook idle y

3/1 -- fxs-ls up dorm on-hook idle y

The show voice dsp is

R1#sh voice dsp

After the phone is off hook the voice port shows like this. However there is no dial tone. There is hizzing noise.

R1#sh voice port summary

========= == ============ ===== ==== ======== ======== ==

3/0 -- fxs-ls up up off-hook idle y

3/1 -- fxs-ls up dorm on-hook idle y

The show voice dsp shows that dsp0 is down and logging as dsp0 not responding.

0/2 2 UP FLEX6 0 6 0 0 100 0

The logging is

: %IPM_C54X-1-DSP_TIMEOUT: dsp 0 NOT RESPONDING.

Now please tell me which is the faulty one. I think the PVDM is faulty. please suggest which has to be replaced.

I have this problem too.

“%IPM_C54X-1-DSP_TIMEOUT : dsp [dec] NOT RESPONDING” is due to that the DSP driver cannot queue messages up to the DMA engine for transmission. Reset the DSPs on this port module.

This is due to the DSP module is damaged. When i replaced with the another DSP module, immediately the dialtone came up.
