G729 trunk to CME, transcode to CUE G711

I'm having a hard time finding information on configuring the DSP chip to transcode an incoming G729 SIP trunk call to the G711 CUE SIP trunk. Here are the commands on the CME I have regarding transcoding. What am I missing? This is an all CME config, no CCM involved.

voice service voip

allow-connections sip to sip

no supplementary-service sip moved-temporarily

no supplementary-service sip refer

redirect ip2ip

voice-card 0

dspfarm

dsp services dspfarm

dspfarm profile 1 transcode

codec g711ulaw

codec g711alaw

codec g729ar8

codec g729abr8

codec g729r8

maximum sessions 22

associate application SCCP

Thanks in advance, this one has stumped me.

Looks like you're missing a lot of configurations. Follow this guide:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmetrnsc.html

You look like you're still missing all the sccp and telephony-service commands.

Here is a sample:

voice-card 1

dsp services dspfarm

sccp local FastEthernet 0/1

sccp

sccp ccm 10.5.49.160 identifier 1

sccp ccm group 123

associate ccm 1 priority

associate profile 1 register mtp123456792012

keepalive retries 5

switchover method immediate

switchback method immediate

switchback interval 5

dspfarm profile 1 transcode

codec g711ulaw

codec g711alaw

codec g729ar8

codec g729abr8

maximum sessions 6

associate application sccp

telephony-service

sdspfarm units 1

sdspfarm transcode sessions 40

sdspfarm tag 1 mtp000a8eaca80

sdspfarm tag 2 mtp123445672012

Please rate if it helps. Thanks.

Thanks! I got it working finally, I needed to use use "sccp ccm 10.5.49.160 identifier 1 vesrion 7.0" and I only need one tag at the bottom. Thanks again!

Ok, I got it working on two 2851's and a 3845, but on my 2 2801's I can't put the "dspfarm" command under the voice-card 0. This is the only difference in the config, but the PVDM's won't associate. The reason for the command not being there, I figure is because the 2801 doesn't have an NM slot? Possibly the reason for the non-association is due to PVDM2-8 & 16 on the 2801 vs. PVDM2-64 on the others? Let me know if you have any ideas.

Hi, I'm trying to get this to work on my 2821 with an NME-CUE and CUCM 7.1.

I think I've got as far as above but how do I tell the phone to use the transcoder? I've set it up as under 'Transcoder' and 'Cisco IOS Enhanced Media Termination Point' and added it to the MRG with device pool of the phones and added the CTI ports into the group.

My CIPC can hear unity but my 7941G just gets silence when calling unity.

Thanks!

i have the same problem with you.. but still cannot working calling from trunk to CUE

can help :(

thanks,

Rocky
