Switch Devices:one c3560g-48 and one c3550-48 both running IOS 12.2(40)SE and one c3550-48 running IOS 12.2(25)SEE2
Printer: HP5500 color with JetDirect card.
Problem: Unable to print from anywhere on the LAN to this printer when it is connected to any of these 3 switches.
Prints only if connect this 5500 to the one other switch in the same closet which is a c3550-48 IOS 12.2(25) see2. There are no errors of any kind anywhere.
A sniffer trace of print transaction between file server and this printer shows that failure is due to window size shrinking to 0 after what appears to be a normal sequence. Every other printer works just fine on these three switches. Switches have been rebooted and code reapplied.
Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated!

Seems odd a switch would in any way impact a host's TCP receive window.
Is the firmware on the JetDirect card current?

Without knowing the exact JetDirect card and without doing research, doesn't help me much.
Would suggest you use the HP tool that analyzes JetDirects. Properly set up, it should inform you whether the JetDirect can be upgraded and whether there's an update. (It might also point you to release notes.)
