LAP 1252A not working with WLC 4402.

Hi I am having a WLC 4402 running on 4.1.171.0 version, I recently purchased LAP 1252 and converted it to a LWAP by loading c1250-rcvk9w8-tar.124-10b.JA3 Image.

Now the Problem is that the LAP is not registering with the WLC, On my LAP console i can see few error Messages which i have attached in the Attachment.

My question is the current version of WLC not supported for the LAP.

And on my WLC I can see the LOGS

It's very simple. Your WLC version doesn't support the 1250s.

Under "Cisco Unified Wireless Network Solution Components" the 1250 is not listed. You'll have to upgrade to at least 4.2 to get this running:

Hi Johannes,

Thanks,

I went thru the Release notes for the IOS and i could find the same.

Thanks for your reply.

Johannes is right. The 4.1.171.0 code does NOT support LAP1250.

"Release Notes for Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Lightweight Access Points for Release 4.1.171.0

These release notes describe open and resolved caveats for software release 4.1.171.0 for Cisco 2000, 2100, and 4400 Series Wireless LAN Controllers; Cisco Wireless Services Modules (WiSM); Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Network Modules; Catalyst 3750G Integrated Wireless LAN Controller Switches; Cisco 3201 Wireless Mobile Interface Cards (WMICs); and Cisco Aironet 1000, 1100, 1130, 1200, 1240, 1300, and 1500 Series Lightweight Access Points, which comprise part of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network (UWN) Solution."
