LDAP Integration successfully setup on the UCM 6.x. All users are in the same AD container (in a 2008 DC environment), but roughly 20 percent of all accounts did not appear to synchronize to the UCM server. The accounts that are missing have the last name field, telephone number and an exchange account info populated in the Domain account. Any ideas why these won't synchronize?

Check the bug: CSCsk84882: CUCM 6 Active Directory Integration fails to import users

CSCsk84882 is U (Unproducible).
To troubleshoot this problem, we need to set the trace level to debug for DirSync. Perform a full sync. Then get the logs.

Here's what I found in the Trace:
2009-04-29 08:23:31,236 ERROR [DirSync-DBInterface] common.DSDBInterface (DSDBInterface.java:276) - DSDBInterface.updateUserInfo LDAP data discarded: Missing LDAP attribute: Attribute Count=6 AgreementId=efd3c50a-80e1-16e9-5a16-54a7e3104248
Anyone know which attribute?

Someone found a solution to this? I'm having the same problem:
Some users do not appear in EndUsers

Populate the First Name field in AD for one of the failed accounts and see if it is imported on the next sync.

Hello.
I dont know if your problem is solved.
We had the same problem last week, and solved it populating the "Last Name" in AD. Our CUCM version is 5.1(3g):in this version, there are two mandatory fields to import: the UserID and the Last Name: both fields appears with the caracter * in the CUCM.I think that the comment "attribute count= X" indicate the number of fields that CUCM import from the AD about a specific user (f.e, if you received att. count = 5, indicates that you are importing 5 fields in the CUCM from AD for this user.

Hello,
My understanding is that only the attribute mapped to the userid and attribute sn. If any of the attributes are not populated in AD, i.e. Manager ID; will this cause a failure? Below is the type of error I'm getting. The only other setting I have is the UserID:telephonynumber.

If I recall correctly the missing field was indeed the Last Name field. Populate it on one account and resync to see if that helps. Good luck.

I had error "LDAP data discarded: Missing LDAP attribute" and it turned out that I forgot to enable synchronizing from LDAP server. I needed to delete LDAP directory entry, then go to: CUCM Admin -> System -> LDAP -> LDAP System -> check Enable Synchronizing from LDAP Server. Select to sync by sAMAccountName, mail, or some other type and click Save. After this I inserted LDAP directory again, and performed full sync, and it was successful.
