Hi
We are having a customer request, where they want the Calling Party should be notified by a beep that the Called Party is busy on another line.
Scenario:
IP Phone-A makes call to IP Phone-B. But the IP Phone-B is already on a Call. Now the IP Phone-A should be notified with a beep that IP Phone-B is busy on the called line.
Thanks.

Does this mean, a beep should be played out to the caller in stead of the normal busy tone?
also have you set the busy trigger on the extensions in question to 1

The IP Phone will have 2 lines, it should play beep, but not instead of Busy Tone.
Busy Trigger configured on the extension is 2.
Thanks.

CUCM has no way to do this, you can only configure the call forward behaviors but we do not tell the calling party the status of the called party.
if you need this kind of capabilities i'd recommend you to implement CUPS
BTW: you should always mention call control agent and versions
HTH
java

I missed it!
We have Cisco UCM 6.1.
How would Presence Server help this requirement?
Thanks
