If We have the cost ( FD) of successor exact same as that of Advertised Cosct from another router (AD). Will this router qualify as FS ?

Or it should be less than the ( at least by 1).

for example for Network_A:

FD= 25000.

And AD from another router ( R2) is also 25000 will this qualify as FS to successor route?

And second point : Is it possible from topology table to find out directly connected networks to neighbor? ( networks to which neighbor is directly connected).

Please share experience.

Any link on cisco.com?

Thanks in advance

Hello Subodh,

to qualify as a feasible successor the Reported distance has to be stricly lower then current feasible distance.

It is RD < FD not RD <= FD

b) given the high numbers in EIGRP metric it is difficult to figure if the network is directly connected to the neighbor you an verify this doing sh ip route prefix on the neighbor node or by using traceroute.

Hope to help
