Cisco WORKS LMS local users list

Hi,

Can any one help accessing the local users list on CW2K servers. I dont see any option to export them as a file. They can be listed under Local User Setup page though.

Our CW2k Server is on Solaris platform. If some one can direct to the directory path where these users can be listed that wil be great as well.

Finally, is there a way we back up these local users with their role definitions.

The local users list is automatically backed up during the standard LMS backup. The list is stored in a flat file at NMSROOT/lib/classpath/com/cisco/nm/cmf/servlet/cwpass.

This file contains the usernames, passwords, assigned roles, email, etc. -- everything you configure under local user setup.

I appreciate your help.

Is there a way we confirm if it is backed up through GUI. A file by name cwpass.bk is found with Feb's date. How can we confirm the automatic backup options as what is included and waht is not?

No, there is no way to confirm. However, if the backup completes successfully, then cwpass file is backed up in the generated backup directory. A restore of that backup will put the cwpass file back in its place.

Thanks!

So, this cwpass file does contain the roles defined for each user along passwords? or that will be a different file? If yes, what is the file name and path?

This file contains the usernames, passwords, assigned roles, email, etc. -- everything you configure under local user setup.
