Cisco 7931 Ip Phone Localization Issue

Hi all,

I'm trying to localize my 7931 phones in order to support Italian language. I have also a 7961 phone which had yet been localized into Italian without any problem, but after many attempts I'm not able to do the same thing with 7931.

During the 7931 bootstrap, I receive the following debug messages (debug tftp events):

The thing I can't understand (and probably the cause of this problem)is why 7931 looks for the /it-tc-sccp.jar language file, while it should try to download the /it-gp-sccp.jar file (gp is the code for 7931 phone, tc is for the 7961).

On the Phone Status messages, I receive the following errors:

No CTL installed

Error updating Locale

Which exact IOS and phone FW do you have ?

My IOS is:

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.4(11r)XW3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1);

Phone Firmware is SCCP31.8-2-2SR2S;

Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express is: Version 4.2(0);

Anyway on the page "Cisco Unified CME 4.2 Supported Firmware, Platforms, Memory, and Voice Products" ( http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/cme42spc.htm ) I red that the 7931 firware is the correct version supported by 4.2 Call Manager Express.

Please state the actual IOS version, not ROM version from "show version".

Ok, the IOS file name in the router flash is: uc500-advipservicesk9-mz.124-11.XW7
