You can simply go under each one of the dialpeers and type shutdown. This will disable those dialpeers. Now this will keep these dialpeers from being matched. There could be another dialpeer that might allowing the same string. If you are requesting to block certain numbers it all depends on the platform you are using. If you are using CME, then take a look at COR (Class of Restriction) in the CME Administration guide. If you are running CM, then all you need to do is create the pattern and specify blocked.

WOW! thanks for the rating. CM 4.1.3 does have the block feature. It should be located under route option. Select block this pattern and choose call reject.
That should do it..

i did find a list of route patterns, but do not show one listed for 411. do i need to manually set up a route pattern for 411 and then block this pattern - call rejected, and/or type "shutdown" under each specific dial-peer?
i appreciate the assistance, i just want to make sure i do this correctly.

the shutdown on each 411 dial-peer worked fine.
will the "wr mem" save all of my changes to the compact flash(cisco 2821) in case the router reboots?
