we only have CUPC on softphone mode from Cisco

not sure how you translated my previous post into "there is NOT a softphone" when i stated CUPC is the option we provide.

For SIP X-lite is a good choice.

can we use SIP X-Lite on corporate network, i tried using it.It was giving me error 408.

Should not be a problem as long as there is IP-connectivity between X-lite and the server running SIP. Check access-lists if any.
