no nothing about them. Customer has them and is asking me if they can make it so you can connect the two switches together in such a way that you can get failover without having to rely on HP software

In answer to your question, too: Blade switches in the 31x0 series can be stacked together just like the Cat3750, meaning that if you have two or more switches stacked together they will behave like one switch.
This means that from a server perspective you will see all blades like one switch.

They also appear to be able to route as they have all the advanced routing protocol commands in the IOS . According to the literature they support all the major protocols like EIGRP , BGP, OSPF etc...
