CM 6.0.1 Extension Mobility

Unanswered Question
May 4th, 2009

Has anybody setup Extension Mobility on version 6 before? I've enabled Extension mobility as a service, created a profile, enabled it on the phone, but I'm not at all getting a logon prompt. We also use Call Center so I wanted to use the Cisco Agent Desktop for all the logging out or in functionality. Anybody know what I could be doing wrong?

I have this problem too.

i don't see the "i subscribed the phone and the device profile to EM service" step above

it's all explained in the guide, you just need to follow it to get it working.

if this helps, please rate

Also: CAD can not control the Extension Mobility log in/out out of the box.

The user will need to do this manually; or, you could investigate third-party applications that perform the EM log in/out based on a separate client running on the phone-attached PC.

Ok I figured out how to do the extension mobility in Call Manager but is there not a way to just be able to login with Cisco Agent Desktop and have it sync to the phone? I'm just trying to avoid the pain in the butt of users having to log in and out all the time on both systems.

Which "guide" are you talking about? I've seen a bunch but they seem to say different things, so it would be helpful if you could link me to this guide.
