Caller Name display for incoming External call

Hi,

I have a request from a customer and would just like to get some pointers on the 'best' way to achieve this seemingly simple user experience.

The customer has CUCMBE v7.0 and has a large number of mobile phone users.

On their old key system they enjoyed caller name display on the phones when a mobile phone user called into site. This was simply achieved by entering the user name and number into the key systems directory.

The Customer is after the same functionality - from my research it looks like this will not happen if the user is in the corporate directory.

The only way I could see would be to maybe use a TCL script on the incoming gateway to attach the user name based on the incoming CLID.

If anyone has any more information on this or any other method for achieving this user function, it would be appreciated.

FYI - this site is in Australia, where no Caller name is attached by the SP to incoming external PSTN calls.

For the scripts, see "number2name" that I keep at:

If configured properly, Unified Mobility will do this by matching the ANI to a Remote Destination assigned to a user and adding the internal Directory Number Display information to the call. It will also transform the calling number shown on the IP Phone to the on-net DN.
