Hi,

Would there any disruptions once a secondary root bridge becomes a primary root bridge?

Assuming that I issued a "default spanning-tree vlan root" on the primary root bridge.

Hi:

Spanning tree will reconverge. I don't think it will cause any noticeable disruption if you change 1 vlan.

If you're worried, don't do it during production hours.
