is is possible to have the router (2851, advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T, Cisco Unity Express 7.0.1) encrypt the password used for the CUE web login so that it is not displayed in plain text? Service password-encryption is set on the 2851.
Thanks! Steve

As far as I know, no.

If you're talking about the 'web admin' configuration there is a 'web admin system secret' option. What's the exact configuration you're trying to hide?

Nick,
This is the config snippet
ephone 11
device-security-mode none
mac-address 0005.0005.0005
ephone-template 1
username "steve.steve" password plaintext
speed-dial 1 915551234567 label "Bob"
speed-dial 2 91234567 label "Home"
speed-dial 3 91234567 label "Mobile"
type 7960
button 1:31
!
So the password in the above just shows up in plaintext. That's the bit i was hoping to have encrypted (just like passwords are when you set service password-encryption on.

Hi Steve,
Correct - there doesn't appear a way to change the visibility of these passwords.
Is this causing issues for your users?
