Hello,
Is there any possibility to use the second nic o CUCM 7.01 in a different network?
Is it just unsupported or really impossible to configure?
thanks,
met.

As far as I am aware it is impossible to set separate IP addresses for NIC1 and NIC2 in any LINUX based CUCM release.
You can set the NICs for active/standby but that is all.
Out of interest why do you need to put the second NIC in a different network?

Hello jamesha, thanks for your thoughts, i already realized that!
Well why? Good practice to have one service interface and one management interface.
Thanks!

I am not sure if it's good practice for servers though..
If you would have 2 nic's with seperate subnets, you can easily introduce faults by i.e. configuring incorrect routes etc.
We use iLo however, which is on a seperate subnet, and with advanced license you can even connect to the CLI interface. (only when things turned to custard ;-) )
