WCS Upgrade

I i want to upgrade from Ã version 4.1.83.0 to Ã version 4.2.110.0 can you tell me if the step are : stop the server, backup the data base with dbadmin abd install the new version and restore the database.

You can directly upgrade from your current version to 4.2.110.0. Please follow the process documented at the URl below.

if i upgrade from 4.1.83.0 to 4.1.91.0 did i have to save the license file.

License files are preserved in the database backup/restore process. You do not have to reinstall your licenses separately.

The WCS backup is basically a .tar.gz file. You can extract it using any of the compression tools such as winzip and the license file will be there.

When you restore the backup on the new version, the license will be copied to the appropriate folders for you.
