Hello,

I have medium understanding about configuring cisco hardware, with mostly the basic functions. Now I need to get into QoS, since we started using a web application, that has to be privileged above all other traffic. This webapp is https, and on a specific url. Can someone point me to what to do, to keep this site responsive, unregarding what other traffic is going in and/or out?

I have no understanding about QoS what so ever.

Cisco 1811 router.

class-map webapp

match protocol http url https//:www.cisco.com

policy-map wan-edge

class webapp

priority 33 (put in the percentage of bandwidth you want to guarantee for the app)

class class-default

fair-queue

interface fa0/0

service-policy output wan-edge

That will apply 33 percent of the bandwidth to the webapp going out the fa 0/0 interface while treating all other traffic equally.
