Netflow and MPLS

Unanswered Question

I am interested in gathering netflow data for MPLS interfaces. Is this possible?

I was reading about MPLS netflow egress accounting and I saw this:

"The MPLS Egress NetFlow Accounting feature allows you to capture IP flow information for packets undergoing MPLS label disposition; that is, packets that arrive on a router as MPLS packets and are transmitted as IP packets."

Isn't this just normal netflow behavior for IP? What's the difference?

Thanks,

I have this problem too.

I have created a test lab with 3640's and NetFlow works fine with MPLS. I have a P router that is exporting flows and it is able to decode the src/dst IPs and Port numbers. However, I have read (and heard) that MPLS is not compatible with NetFlow.

What do they mean? Is there something wrong with my test?
