Quiet audio on analog trunk when forwarding or transferring off-net

Hello NetPros!

I'm dealing with an 1861 voice gateway with 4 FXO ports. If we call in to the site using either of the FXO voice ports and the call is forwarded or transferred off-net to an external number, the new call will be very quiet for both parties.

This does not occur, however, if the original call is placed on hold and a new FXO port is used to create a new outbound, off-net call.

Any suggestions?

I am experiencing the same situation, does anyone have a resolution to this?

You can try increasing input and output levels a little on the POTS port.
