I'm using CiscoView 6.1.7 on LMS 3.0.1.

When I try to use CiscoView on a 4402 WLC I receive an error messages:

Message

Cannot find applicable device package for 172.18.0.250.

This error could be due to one of the following:

- The device package for this device type is not installed.

- Device support for this device type is not available.

- You are trying to open a component inside a device.

To correct the problem, either install a device package for the device type, or open the parent device to manage the component.

The show sysinfo output is :

There is no WLC support for CiscoView. Support only exists for RME, Campus Manager, and DFM.

Thank's for your answer!

Unfortunately I've problem on WLC definition in all components of LMS 3.0.1. For example on RME i receive the message

CM0056 Config fetch failed for wlc1 Cause: CM0204 Could not create DeviceContext for 192 Cause: CM0206 Could not get the config transport implementation for 172.18.0.250 Cause: UNKNOWN Action: Check if required device packages are available in RME. Action: Check if protocol is supported by device and required device package is installed

Can you help me ?

Thank's'

Claudio

Make sure you have version 1.0 of the WLC RME package loaded. If not, go to Common Services > Software Center > Device Update, and download and install all available package updates for RME and Common Services. You must also make sure SNMPv1 is enabled on the WLC. It is not enabled by default.

WLC RME 1.0 package already loaded. SNMP V1 on WLC is enabled and configurated. The problem could'd be on WLC configuration in

AAA parameters.

LMS username don't works on WLC but works fine on all network device.

I'm looking for differenze in ACS group... any suggestion ?!

Thank's

Claudio

Run an inventory collection on this WLC under RME > Devices > Inventory > Inventory Jobs. Then post a Detailed Device Report for this device.

Hi,

I've found the bug ! I've found a differenze on ACS group definition for LMS user-id... User-id used by LMS to connect to WLC was without a parameter and authentication didn't work fine !

Than's for your time !

CLaudio

I'm sorry but my WLC isn't OK! After ACS modify LMS user-id logs on ACS but configuration isn't read !

I receive this messages :

"CM0056 Config fetch failed for senawlc1 Cause: CM0204 Could not create DeviceContext for 192 Cause: CM0206 Could not get the config transport implementation for 172.18.0.250 Cause: UNKNOWN Action: Check if required device packages are available in RME. Action: Check if protocol is supported by device and required device package is installed." .

Transport settings for RME are only SSH, RCP and SCP !!!

Any Suggestion !?!?

Than's

CLaudio

As I said before, post an export of the Detailed Device Report for this WLC.

I hope it's the correct report...

I'm not sure if you ask for this kind of reports...

Thank's

Claudio

This indicates that you still have a package problem with the WLC package. This inventory is only the basic mibII information.

Post the list of contents under NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/rme/WEB-INF/lib/pkgs.

Well, I've attached the directory list...

Regards

Claudio

This is what I thought. Your RME package repository is missing key packages. What you might try is to shutdown Daemon Manager, then copy all of the .zip files from NMSROOT/www/classpath/com/cisco/nm/xms/psu/pkgs/rme to NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/rme/WEB-INF/lib/pkgs. Then restart Daemon Manager, and see if you can archive your WLC configs.

Hi,

I've copied directories...then I restarded Daemon Manager ... I cannot see any error but configs aren't collected...

Claudio

So if you run a Sync Archive job for your WLC, does the job complete successfully?
