Display topology Services in client with IExplore 7 or Firefox 2.0

I can't open TopologyServices view, I'm using internet exploret 7.0 and firefox 2.0 with Java â„¢ 6 update 5 in the client.

In firefox 2.0

-Starting java

-connecting to Campus Manager Serverâ€¦please wait

-and then Send window message

"cannot connect to ANI server...unknown Error ..."

In IExplore 7.0

-firts I have to click download file,

-starting java

-begin connenting to Campus Manager Serverâ€¦please wait, and finally the same error to firefox

What version are you using?

In LMS 2.6 you have to use an older version of Java (Java 1.4.2) I believe.

Not sure about browser version (IE6 works).

as jclarke mentioned on this forum yet, the most likely cause is that the client cannot connect to the server on TCP ports 42342 and 43242 because of a firewall (e.g. local firewall on the client) or accesslist that prevents this.

For a test try to connect to the server on these ports:

telnet 43242

telnet 42342

Also the name of the LMSserver must be resolvable on the client.

thanks ....TCP ports aren't problem, I saw the name of server isn't added in DNS server, and thats why don't contact it the client.
