Unity Connection 7: Total number of corporate directory users

Unanswered Question

Can anyone help explain what the "Total number of corporate directory users" actually means? I'm referring to the stats listed in this datasheet:

I am using LDAP Directory Configuration and LDAP Authentication, but our AD has almost 40,000 users. It works fine. I'm not sure this is the number they are talking about though when they say the max is 10,000 for platform overlay 3.

I have this problem too.

Hi -

Here is a link that may explain it better - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/design/guide/7xcucdg030.html

The following objects are replicated in a Connection Digital Network:

•Contacts (system and VPIM)

•System distribution lists (including membership)

•Locations (Connection and VPIM)

•Search spaces

•Recorded voice names

The total number of combined users and system contacts in a Digital Network cannot exceed 50,000 in Connection 7.x. Since the corporate directory limit, depending on platform, is 10,000, that would mean 5 Unity Connection 7.X servers can be digitally networked together.
