Use of Device Pool in SRST

can anybody elabarate what is the use of device pool during SRST. During SRST all the call manager is down and how Device Pool is useful during SRST? Thanks

Hi,

When remote IP Phones are registered to the CM, they learn and keep in memory who is the SRST router (that is defined via the Device Pool set to them).

Then, when connectivity is lost to the CM, the phone registers with the SRST router.

THE SRSST REFERANCE FIELDIN DEVICE POOL ALLOW THE ADMINISTRATOR TO SPECIFY THE IP ADD OF SRST ROUTER .CISCO SRST ENABLE ROUTERS TO PROVIDE CALL-HANDLING SUPPORT FOR CISCI IP PHONES WHEN THEY LOSE THEIE CONECTION TO REMOTE CUCUM .
