Register phones into voice Gateway

Want to know do we need to register the phone(Directory Number)into voice Gateway? How do we register? is it by Directory Number range? And also lets assume i have set of Number registered in the Voice Gateway and lateron i added some additional phones into CCM and how this additional phones are registered with Voice Gateway? Thanks if somebody can explain.

Hi,

If you are talking about analog devices connected to FXS ports in the voice gateway, you can define DNs and control those devices with the CM via MGCP.

If you don't want MGCP, you can define DNs and control analog devices with H.323 in the voice gateway.

In this case you define the DNs with dial peer configurations.
