CCNA OLD VERSION BOOKS valid enough for new CCNA EXAM?

Unanswered Question

Hi everybody,

was ccna, ccnp certified back in 2002 but left the IT field since 2003. Now I'm trying to get back in Cisco field; have all my old books, can I study the old CCNA 2.0 VERSION, EXAM 640-507 and pass the actual exam or do I need to buy new books to learn for the new CCNA EXAM?

Thanks

I have this problem too.

While the old books help on the same topics (ACL, OSPF, RIP, BGP, etc). They don't help on the new addition on the exam - SIMULATION and other new technologies.

Beside, there are topics in the old books that will not come out in the new exam, i.e. Frame Relay, ATM, other old technologies. There are topics in the new exam that is not in the old books.

I suggest, you use a new book.
