It would appear you cannot modify the pre-defined intervals.
One useful extra though, that may be helpful to you is to enable History Metrics in ASDM. Go to Configuration > Device Management > Advanced > History Metrics.
yes, I also have history metrics enabled but that's not what I'm looking for ... just want real-time traffic updated a little bit faster
