Outbound mail from Lotus Notes on Inside Network fails

Hi all,

I'd like to ask a help.

I have a Lotus Notes Mail Server that is at Inside Network. I am able to receive any email and make MX queries for any domain from Lotus Notes Server. However I unable to send email for any destination.

Someone know what can I do to fix this?

The ASA 5510 is with the verison asa802-k8.bin and same if I put the rule the firewall to permit any to any destination the messsage is not sent to internet.

I suggest you switch off 'inspect esmtp' in global policy.

You can confirm that it is dropping your mail packets by using the following command:

show service-policy inspect esmtp | inc drop

If you see any drop counters >0 then that is your problem.
