Is there anyway that we can use normal router-based DSP resources to do trascoding from G.723 to other codecs ( G.711 and G.729) ?

It's the ONLY way, you forcefully need a XCODER with DSPs to do that conversion

I am refering to the "Table 5 DSP Theoretical Session Capacities " under chapter "Configuring Enhanced Conferencing and Transcoding for Voice Gateway Routers" of your URL.
It says that G.723 supported for voice termination. But nowhere mension about transcoding to and form G.723. Anu ideas ?
Thanks,

it's a high complexity codec, so refer to table with G.729, G.729b.values
6 Sessions per DSP, meaning you would need 4 DSPs to support a T1 either XCODER or voice termination (which in practical terms do the same function)

Thansk for the reply.
Yes I agree with you that g.723 is high complexity codec. But what I am wondeirng is that G.723 is mentioned under "voice tramination" in the same table, But for transcoding it never mention G.723 codec. Can this be a mistake?
Thanks,
