We are planning to move to lwap's in the near future. We have some 325 AP's in our campus. We have one 6509e with a wism blade. I know we need two more wisms to handle the ap's and one for backup. Our other 6500s are only sup2. Do the sups need to be 720's to handle the wism?

Here's what you need ...
Supervisor 720 with 12.2(18)SXF2 [or 12.2(18)SXF5 if using Cisco IOS Software
Modularity]
The Cisco WiSM module needs 254.94 Watts for its operation.

Hope this helps.

I would recommend that you WAIT for the next few months. Cisco is rumoured to be releasing a new model WLC appliance sometime after July 2009. It's a standalone appliance so you do not have to upgrade to a 720 unnecessarily.
