same SW version for CSS box-to-box redundancy?

I need to add a second CSS to create a redundant pair. The production CSS is running :

ap0610205s (6.10 Build 205)

The problem is this image is no longer available on Cisco web for download.

Is it really true that, for box-to-box redundancy to work, both CSS must run the same version? or just desirable?

unfortunately you can't extract the software from the CSS.

You will need to download from our website or ask the TAC to publish it for you.

in fact, I found the image at Interim release.

some people use two different models of CSS in one pair.
