FTP slow download

I have a client who has a cable service and we have a ADSL with upload speed of 512Kbps. My client is trying to download a 6GB file from our FTP server but it keeps failing on him. He stated that he could download up to 9 MB from other sources with no proble but when trying to download the 6GB from our FTP site he only gets 90 Kbps and then fails.

Any input would greatly appreciated!

Hi Sk,

Get a packet capture and see which sides sends the disconnect. That way you can at least know where to start.

Alternatively, download the same data from your site at home. If it succeed it points to his end being at fault.
