I need to copy a new IOS file to my switches and have a problem with TFTP (various issues) and serial x-fer and need a new way to accomplish this task.
Does anyone have a different procedure beside TFTP or serial x-fer and could provide enough detail to make it useful?

YES, but how do you get the IOS file onto the flash media in the first place?
Should I buy a multi-media card reader?
Is this the only option?

What sup are you using for this switch? Does it have a PCMCIA or Compact flash slot? Either way you'll probably need that reader. One other question. Does the sup have USB ports?

Hey Pompey,
I am using Sup720-10G sups with USB ports. I am running IOS s72033-adventerprisek9-mz.122-33.SXI.bin.
There are newly discovered bugs in this version and I will upgrage to the next release to address these bugs.
Are the USB ports usable in with the hardware/software I already have?
Any clues??
Tks

I don't have that sup on my network to check the functionality of the USB ports. If you get a compact flash reader/writer you should be good to go.

Have you tried to HTML into the switch and upgrade that way?
