some 3550 switchs in 12.1(22)EA1 still not collected

I've found many conversations about the known error occuring on some 3550 switches during an inventory collection ("device sensed, but inventory collection failed".)

A minimum IOS version must be installed. In my case, I upgraded the 3550s to 12.1(22)EA1.

But on 9 switches, 6 still failed.

I've checked the configuration, the passwords on each one.

Does someone successfully succeed in collecting this category of swtichs ?

thanks

Herve

For 3550 series switches, you need 12.1(19)EA1 or higher. This code should be okay. Post the IC_Server.log after trying to fetch the inventory for one of the affected switches. What version of RME are you using?

We're running RME 4.2.0 (LMS 3.1)

This looks to be exactly the same problem as with the older version of code. Try removing this device from RME, then re-add it. If the inventory collection problem persists, open a TAC service request with the IC_Server.log, and the show tech from this switch so more analysis can be done. you may have stumbled on a new bug.
