Making groups in LMS through ACS Appliance

Answered Question

Hi,

we have a LMS 3.0 and an ACS 4.0 Solution Engine Appliance and we want to integrate them in order to define independent groups of devices in the LMS for different users, so the users will only access to the devices related to its group.

I know this can be done with an ordinary ACS, but is it possible with an ACS Appliance?

Many thanks.

I have this problem too.

Absolutely. The one caveat with the ACS appliance is you CANNOT use the appliance administrator as your ACS admin user in LMS. Create a new ACS administrator, and grant that user full access to all ACS tasks.

Other than that, the procedure to do the integration is exactly the same as with host-based ACS.
