When setting the boot parameters for the BOOTVAR, several options exist for the 6500 series in Native mode.
I choose the source location, file name and other options.
Somewhere/somehow the BOOTVAR (show bootvar) adds a ,1; to the end of each IOS file. As seen in previous posts by several other folks, the number (,1;) instructs the boot loader process to try to load this file one time and if not available from the specified source, give up and move onto the next option. If the number was (,2;) the process would try two times before moving onto the next load option.
Long story short - How does one set this parameter?
I know I can specift the same IOS file from multiple places but I want to try reading from the same source three times before moving onto the next option.
