Not sure if this is under the right spot or not ...
I have a PPP multilink running on 3845's. There are 3 T-1's in the multilink, and under the multilink interface a service policy is set. On the serial interface configurations, the fair-queue option is there. My questions is, is this option negating the service policy, or should the service policy output command be under every serial interface in the multilink? thanks for any help.
sample config:
interface Multilink5
ip address x.x.x.x x.x.x.x
ppp multilink
ppp multilink group 5
service-policy output test
interface Serial0/1/0
no ip address
encapsulation ppp
fair-queue
ppp multilink
ppp multilink group 5

The service-policy should be applied to the multilink interface and not to each individual physical interface so your setup is correct.

Thanks Jon. So the fair-queue command on the serial interfaces is not negating anything?
