MOH using a H323 gw and CUCM 7.0

hi, i have a CUCM 7.0 working with a 3825 (h323 gateway). The problem is, the MOH only works between ip phone extensions of the CUCM, with calls from or to PSTN, there are not MOH, and the remote user only heards 3 beeps. How can i solve that?

had the same problem. Sounds like you have a codec mismatch as did I. MOH servers default go g711, remote WAN is g729.

What I had to do is to put my moh servers in a seperate DP, and MRGL, Make the region G711. You will also need to define g711 as the codec between this "moh region" and everywhere else.

you can enable G729 MOH under IPVMS service parameters

H323 uses G729 as default codec, if you want G711 you need to configure it

So check the codecs and make sure the MRGL from the GW has the MOH server in it

I see now on VMS service parms,where you can hold down ctrl key and select more than one moh codec. that will help alot, thanks
