Removing 6.1.2 Subscriber from Cluster

I need to remove a subscriber from a CUCM 6.1 cluster as it is no longer required.

Other than removing it from CUCM Administration, is there any other process to consider, such as db replication clean up to prevent alarms, or a cluster re-boot ?

Should the Sub be removed via CUCM administration prior to power off, or after ?

I found some documents on CCO for removing 4.x Subs from a cluster, but nothing for 6.1

Thanks

Hi Kerry,

Here is the related info for CUCM 6.1;

Deleting a Server

The Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration Guide does not provide the error messages that display when you attempt to delete a server. For information on these error messages, see the "Deleting Then Adding Back a Server in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration" section.

Found here;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/6_1_1/cucm-rel_note-611b.html#wp254134

Disregard the entire section, "Deleting a Server," in the System-Level Configuration Settings chapter in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager System Guide. Instead, consider the following information when you delete a server:

•Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration does not allow you to delete the first node in the cluster, but you can delete any subsequent node. When you attempt to delete a node, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration displays the message that is described in the "Deleting Then Adding Back a Server in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration" section.

•Cisco recommends that you do not delete any node that has Cisco Unified Communications Manager running on it, especially if the node has devices, such as phones, registered with it.

•Although dependency records exist for the subsequent nodes, the records do not prevent you from deleting the node.

•If any call park numbers are configured for Cisco Unified Communications Manager on the node that is being deleted, the deletion fails. Before you can delete the node, you must delete the call park numbers in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration.

•The system may automatically delete some devices, such as MOH servers, when you delete a server.

•Before you delete a node, Cisco recommends that you deactivate the services that are active on the subsequent node. Performing this task ensures that the services work after you delete the node.

Hope this helps!

if you want to delete subscriber from  cluster;

1) Deactivate all server on subscriber(which you want to delete permanently)

2) going to  cucm cm admin page System > Server
