Set Location to devices

Hi all,

We have a client with more than 1200 devices across 8 sites.

When the VoIP was deployed to this client we did not use Locations to control tha bandwith, but now we are setting QoS in WAN connection and we need assign each device to the right Location.

I know how to do it one by one, but is it possible to do this in other way in order to save some time.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Fernando.

To do this, first make sure that the Cisco Bulk Provisioning Service is started. Go to servicability, tools, service activation. Then go back to the admin page.

Bulk administration, phones, update phones, query.

Search in such a way that it will find all phones in one specific location. Do that by finding things that they alone have in common. It could be description, device pool, etc. The click next, check the box next to location. Then select the location you want to put the phone in. Click reset phone, run immediately (which will reset each of those phones after the changes are made, so do off hours if necessary). Check Bulk Adminstration, Job Scheduler to see how it is going and if there were any errors.

Please rate if this helped.
