ACL Manager 1.6 Optimizer

Unanswered Question
May 14th, 2009

Does anyone know how long it should take ACL 1.6 Manager Optimizer to optimize and ACL with 9,000 lines?

Is there a log file I can look at to see if there are any issues with it optimizing?

Does anyone have suggestions with tuning ACL manager? For large ACL optimizing/processing, should I consider tuning parameters in NMSROOT/objects/aclm/etc/aclm/

We're running it on a Solaris 8 280R server with 4Megs of memory. The installation guide states 1 to 2 Gigs is needed.

Please advise.

I have this problem too.

You can configure ACL Manager for different parameters, depending on your requirements. You can tune these parameters to extract the optimum performance, scalability, and functionality from ACL Manager.

You can change these parameters in a file, file. This file is at NMSROOT/objects/aclm/etc/aclm, where NMSROOT is your CiscoWorks Installation directory.

You must restart ACL Manager every time you change the parameters.
