Call Manager Express & Cisco Unified IP Phone 7985G

Hi all, advice greatly appreciated.

With a CME solution can we use a Cisco Unified IP Phone 7985G at central site and the same at a remote office at the other end of the country connected via vpn to provide video conferencing facility? If so what would the bandwidth requirements be? Would it be 100% compatible with Call Manager Express?

Hi Craig,

Yes, this is phone is supported with CME.

The bandwidth for video is dependent upon how much movement is in the frame.

When I was testing this if there wasn't much movement it would drop to about 50 kbsec but could hit up to 500 kbsec or so with the codec we were using (h.264 I believe).
