2 hsrp groups on same interface

Hi all

is it possible to have 2 hsrp groups on the same ip subnet running on the same interface ?

Yes if the platform support mHSRP.

can you have the same subnet in both groups?

Hello Carl,

you should use the same subnet for both unless one group is associated to secondary ip address.

So each group takes one ip address from the subnet in addition to router interfaces.
