syslog messages are no longer sent with 6509

Hi,

My Cisco 6509 switch stops sending its logs to our syslog server for no apparent reason..

For this to work again we need to delete the configuration using the no logging host... and rehabilitate the same configuration. After all it's ok.

you have an idea of the issue ?

Is there any acl between the switch and the management stations, that may be blocking udp port 514 (traceroute from switch to addresses will help to know which interfaces to check for acl).
